FAQ REFUNDS
Q: I need to return my books and it’s past the deadline. What are
my options?
A: Unfortunately your options are few. To those of you who dropped the
class, we extend that deadline a few days past what is posted. You need
to call us immediately to find out if you are still within that period and
what you will need to do. If for some reason you have an extenuating
circumstance (military duty, medical) which caused you to withdraw from
school you need to call us immediately to find out what your options are.
We are reasonable people and do make exceptions. “I forgot” and “I
didn’t know” are not reasonable excuses.
Q: I took the book out of the shrink-wrap and need to return it.
What do I do?
A: Unfortunately, once the book is unwrapped, even if you are within the
return period, you will not receive a full refund. It seems strange I know,
after all it’s just plastic. Couldn’t you re shrink-wrap it? In a word, no.
Publishers do not allow us to return books to them which are
unwrapped. This rule falls on your shoulders as well as ours.
Q: I paid with a check and need to return the book. What do I do?
A: You need to wait 7 business days before we will issue a refund.
Sometimes this puts you outside of our return deadline. To ensure a
refund, have a cashier date and initial your receipt while you are still
within the refund period. Then just stop back within the period written on
the receipt. If you fail to stop in within the dates written on the receipt,
you might be out of luck.
